Melbourne Cup Day
On the 3rd of November it was the Melbourne Cup. The Melbourne Cup is a big horse race that people bet on horses. It is also known as the race that stops the nation. People dress up really nice to watch the races. In class we did a activity that we got to design a hat and where it. There were prizes for the winners. The boys or girls got to chose if you wanted a hat or a tie. Then we watch the races. We also got a horse and we had to colour in the jockeys shirt. There were also prizes if your horse came 1, 2, 3 and last. My horse was Master O'riely.
Camp
On Thursday the 29 of October we went on camp. We went to a place called Camp Goodenough on the border of NSW, Bilambil. We had to be at school by 8.15am to get there on time. It took us an hour and a half to get there.
When we got there we had to take our bags down a steep hill. When we got down to the bottom of the hill we met our instructers Wayne, Julie, Tony, Mandy, Kathy and Anthony. Then we got sorted into our cabins.
I was in cabin 1. We slept on bunk beds. I was on the top bunk. There were 2 girls cabins. There were 24 girls in each cabin. The boys had 3 rooms of 11 boys in each.
Then we went and had lunch in the dining room. The group who was on lunch dutty had to prepare lunch and use adjectives to describe the food. We had hamburgers for lunch and a drink of orange cordial. Then we had to clean up our dishes. The dutey group who were on cleaning up had to clean up the dining room.
After lunch we moved on to our activities. Our instrutors for the flying fox were Kathy, Anthony, Tony and Mandy. I was second last to go on it. They put a harness on you and
a helmet. The teachers and parents went on it to. Which were Mrs R, Mr D and Mr M.
After a long day we went and had our showers. Then we went and had dinner. For dinner we had lasagne, potato bake and tossed salad. I had lasagne and potato bake. For desert we had pancakes with ice cream aand maple syrup.
After we cleaned up we went into the hall and had a Trivia night and a Talent show. For Trivia the teachers all asked 10 questions. Our team was called the Tim, Tam, Taits. In the middle of the trivia people performed talents. The H anators won the trivia.
After that it was time for bed. Our cabin was quite noisy!!!.
When we woke up we had to get dressed and pack our bags. Then we went to have breakfast. For breakfast we had a 2 course meal I had coco pops and then bacon and a hashbrown.
After that we went and played initiatives games. We worked with a group to work the things out. Some of the games were hard. Our instrutor for this was Wayne. For morning tea we had fruit I had a juicy orange.
Eventually it was time for lunch. For lunch we had nice hot dogs. After lunch we cleaned up and got our luggage. We departed at 2.00pm and got back to school at 2.20pm but they are a hour in fron of us.
1 interesting thing I didn't know was there is a animal called a tawny frog mouth. I was in Mrs T's group. The teachers who came on camp with us were Mrs R, Mrs S, Mrs Ar, Mrs A, Mr D, Mr H and the parents who came on camp were Mr M and Mrs T.
Camp was so much Fun!!!

Cops and Kilts
A couple of weeks ago we had Cobs and Kilts come to our school. They were police man and lady's who were in a choir. They sang us a couple of songs. I thought it was weird that police man and lady's were in a choir. It was really fun listening them play instruments and sing. Have you ever heard a police man or lady sing in a choir?.
Walking Weeling Wednesday
Every Wednesday we do Walking Wheeling Wednesday.
Each Wednesday you can walk to school car pool to school catch the bus ,train to school or ride your scooter, bike to school or drive to school.
We want to reduce the amount of cars on the road. Car pooling is when you share cars e.g. instead of having 4 people in 4 cars you could have 4 people in 1 car. If you do one of those things except for driving in your car you get a sticker and once you fill the card up with stickers you get a price.
Book Week
Yesterday we had Book Week.
You had to dress up as a character out of a book or a safari animal. I dressed up as Pippi Long stockings. There were no winners. The Teachers had to where black because they did a play for us about safari animals. The theme for this year was safari so the library decorated it. We had a parade and everyone would say who they are and from what book they were from and then walk around the whole circle.
Art show
Last Saturday our school had a Art Show.All the class's did an Art piece and if you wanted to you could do your own piece of art. Their was winners For their art piece that got a gift voucher and everyone who entered an art piece would get a pack with a art pad in it and stationary.
Bike ed
This Monday we had our last Bike ed lesson. We had a test to see how much we learnt. Their was a riding test and a writing test. Every lesson we had to remember our helmets. We had 6 lessons of bike ed.
African Drummer
Last Friday African Drummers came to our school. Their group name was salaka. They told us about them self's and their instruments name's. We got to play the drums. They sang us some songs.
Pyjama day
On Monday we had pyjama day. We had to bring in soup,Milo,tea bags. We had to where pyjama's for the whole day. What ever class brings in the most wins a prize. We don't know which class won yet.

On Monday we are having a pyjama day.We have to bring in soup,milo,co co. We are raising money for St Vincit de paul.
Bike Ed
On Mondays at 12.o'clock we have Bike Ed. Our trainers are Mal and Hyde. All of the 4/5's go to Bike Ed. In Bike Ed we learn how to ride our bikes safely. They supply bikes for us but we have to bring our helmet's. They have signs around the course thst you have to listen to. Each week you learn something different. On the last week we have a essment. Bike Ed is fun.
Caritas
In school we are doing Carita's.Carita's is when you Spencer a country that is poor.You get given a box that you put money in and at the end of the week people come and collect it.We are sponsoring Uganda.We sponsored over 2000 dollars all up.
Dance Cart
Every Monday we go to dance cart we are doing our dance to kung fu fighting.We are performing it for the school and for our parents.We have a warm up dance and it is to Alvin and the chipmunks.We have props to wear and we are performing it in the afternoon.We do dance with 45j.Our dance teachers names are Rebbecca and Amy. We have groups that we had to make up a piece of the dance group.I love dance.

And when in wet lunches you put movies on the interesting ones to.
Or how you answer to people yes snotty.
choir
Every Tuesday morning at quarter past 8 kids that are in choir go to choir.What we do at choir we learn songs and sing them we perform for people and visit the old peoples home where the nuns live and sing for them.Last Thursday the choir lead singing sing and the band played and all of our school sang a long and alot of schools around Australia sang on the same day at the same time we sang sing count us in.And some classes did a peace of dancing or singing our class did a dance to an Irish song.
drama performance
In drama we are practising for a drama performance we are doing the Twits by Roald Dahl I am a narrator I have to were black pants and a red shirt every Thursday we go to drama I really enjoy drama and I can't wait to perform.The characters are Mr and Mrs twit,monkeys,narrators,birds and the Roley Poleybird.
