Here I will write about the things I learn during Religious Education. I will also write about liturgies and celebrations at my school.

Rememberance DAY

On Wednesday the 11 of November it was Remembrance Day. Remembrance Day is when we remember all those who fort in war for us. The cymbal for Remembrance Day is Poppy's. Poppy's are the cymbal because they grew in the grounds when people were fighting in war. Mrs P always reads out the ode when we stand a minute silence. At the 11 hour the 11 minute the 11 month we stand for 1 minute silence.

All Saints Day

On the 31st of October each year the church and people celebrate Halloween. Halloween means Hallowed eve(Holy eve) it is the night before All Saints Day. On the 1st of November is All Saints Day we pray for all the Saints. The day after All Saints Day is All Souls Day we pray for those who's died.

Values

In Religion we got given a story and ours was 1 corinthians and we had to find the values in it.

Jesus Feeds 5000

In class we have being looking at the story Jesus feeds the 5000 and watch the story of it this is my version of it.

world youth day

last week some time the Catholic Pope came to Brisbane Australia their were millions of people from all over the world. just like Italy new south wales and allot of other countries. it was held in Sydney it was a huge mass all the people had to camp to wait for the Pope

hand quilt

a couple of weeks ago 45j made a hand quilt about the people they new who did a justice thing like some one going to war or some one helping some one then we would trace our hand on a piece of paper then we colour it in and glue it on to a huge piece of paper after every one did a hand we would go through them and see why they did this person and what did they do for justice

mary mackillop

in class today we watched a movie about Mary mackillop it was a interesting movie what happened in the movie well Mary mackillop stood up to the pop and said that we should make a school for the poor but the pop dident want to make a school for the poor he said that god wanted these people to be poor so we shouldent make a school but aventurelly she never gave up but she got her way at the end mary mackillop died of old age it was sad but interesting

the bible

In class a couple of days ago we had to pick people to be in our group and then we had to choose a story from the bible to play and our group choose Jonah and the whale every one had a part one person was god another was Jonah and their was the caption of the bout and the captions assistant and the whale last but not least their was the narrator then all the groups had to show it to the class it was hard to not forget the lines that you had to say .but it was fun!!!

the bible

In class we are doing religion what we do in religion is we have to find the parts in the bible and we have to search the bible for the justice parts in some storys and also the teacher wiil give us a sheet of paper with some titles of storys in the bible and we have to match up the parts. religion is fun when you get the hang of the bible.

Joanah and the Whale

Two weeks ago we did Religion what we did was we did the story of Jonah and the Whale one group did the mime of Jonah another did the replay of Jonah and another group did the Brian storm words and two other groups did pictures of it and the last group did the retell the story and changed some words and then we tolled it all to the class.
